We welcome families and children as a crucial part of our church family. We highly value having kids and youth (as well as adults!) of all ages involved in our church band. On Sunday mornings we begin each service with adults and kids worshipping together for about half of the service.
After the kids talk, we have a welcome time and then during school terms kids and youth are invited to go out to their separate kids and youth programs. For kids, this involves teaching through video clips, discussion, games, craft and song. For the youth, one of our leaders will lead a discussion around a Bible passage or topic and there will also be time to play games, chat with one another over a cup of milo or cheese toastie! We also have a playground along with our basketball courts, which are available for community use as well as church activities.
We have two other activities for school-aged kids. For younger kids (Reception – year 6), we have Kids Club which runs fortnightly on a Friday afternoon from 4 – 5:30 pm, during school terms. The Youth program runs on the alternate Friday afternoon (also 4 – 5.30pm) for Years 7 – 11. All of our volunteers and staff have police checks and have done child safe training.
