Keys to a healthy life – especially in retirement – include Positivity, Activity, Socialising, Learning, Laughing.
Trinity Men’s Link helps connect men in the community to do just that. It provides informal activities and the opportunity to form friendships for mutual encouragement and support. While catering primarily for men of retirement age, it is open to men of all ages to share the stories, experiences and wisdom that have shaped their lives – and to learn new things, care for the soul, or just to have a laugh!
We meet for Men’s Link for about one and a half to two hours, each fortnight on the first and third Tuesday of each month. On the first Tuesday, we meet between 10 am – 11.30/12 noon in the Activities Room of Trinity Baptist
Church at 8A Bedford Square, Colonel Light Gardens. This may include informal discussion, quizzes, and listening to speakers on topics of interest – always accompanied by coffee, tea and nibbles.
On the third Tuesday of the month, we usually enjoy visiting one of ‘Adelaide’s Secrets’, places or features of interest, exhibitions or other activities – again enjoying convivial conversation over coffee or preferred beverage.
This most often commences at 9.30 am to allow time for travel.
Being a church-based initiative, our discussions around the physical, social, emotional and spiritual aspects of life, as well as the topical issues of the day, may, not surprisingly, include sharing from a Christian perspective. This will
be shared with humility and respect as we wrestle with the big and daily issues and questions of life.
